Patty KlauerDr. Patricia Klauer is General Manager and Client Engagement Lead at Fathym Inc., a company providing end-to-end, cloud-based, real time Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for industrial companies. Dr. Klauer spent her career as an Information Architect specializing in the integration of new technologies that deliver innovative approach to enterprise scale solutions. As a visionary leader, Dr Patricia Klauer brings a breadth and depth of experience, insight and understanding to every initiative. As an experienced information architect, she bridges the divide between IT and business to emphasize core business objectives and foster successful alignment and communication. She is an expert in designing data warehouse architecture for large-scale enterprises and particularly adept in bridging the gap between new visionary technologies such as IoT, ‘Big Data’ and the enterprise.

A Doctor of Chiropractic who practiced in California and Massachusetts, Patricia found herself in the unlikely halls of Information Technology at MIT as a systems programmer in the vanguard of computing – relational databases had just been released commercially and the Internet was a loose collection of networks in the academic computing world. Later, consulting on Wall Street, she designed and built some of the first large-scale relational database systems for investment banks. Uptown, she led a diverse team at the United Nations Development Programme in NYC and South America to develop a data-driven architecture for sharing information. Since then she has been providing strategic consulting in the field of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing for a variety of industries, academic institutions and government agencies and NGOs.

Patty is also the co-founder of the mindfulness-based Awake in the World collective. The Awake in the World initiative is made up of people who are walking the path to awakening and are committed to transforming the world by first changing themselves and the way they live.
